New Fragrance by Mercedes-Benz is for the Ladies

The new luxury fragrance by Mercedes-Benz is the second bottle by the auto brand, and is geared towards women. Just last year, Mercedes-Benz released its first perfume for men, and now the awaited ladies’ version is available. Created by Olivier Cresp, the fragrance includes top notes from fresh and sparkling chords of bergamot and juicy peach, with middles notes of delicate and subtle floral notes from mimosa, and its base notes include patchouli, white musk and vanilla.... Coty BV and Karl Lagerfeld End Fragrance Partnership

In recent fashion news, the same luxury fragrance licensee that is responsible for the new Just Cavalli scent that we covered last week is now parting ways with one of its other clients. In a joint statement, Coty BV and Karl Lagerfeld said that they would end their fragrance partnership, though Coty will still be able to sell Lagerfeld's fragrances under the label. Those include the unisex fragrances in the Kapsule collection and the women's scent called Karleidoscope. Pier Paolo Righi, Lagerfeld's chief executive officer, said that the designer's new partnership, which is already established, will be announced shortly.... Read More

Estée Lauder Company Expands Presence in China With New Ethnic-Focused Brand

In an attempt to broaden its presence globally and make deeper inroads in China, the luxury brand Estée Lauder Company is forgoing the traditional method of simply introducing a new ethnic-focused product and is instead adding an entirely new brand to its repertoire. Osiao will be a new skincare brand that will used specialized Chinese medicine combined with American marketing tactics to appeal to its Asian consumers' tastes. "It will be a brand with a unique position, a brand that will give consumers a sense of being local, of being really dedicated to them," said Fabrizio Freda, Estée Lauder Companies' chief executive.... Canadian twin brothers Dean and Dan Caten have been designing clothing since they were children. Now, they have collaborated with Christine Nagel of Mane to create a love potion. Dsquared2’s fragrance house ICR-ITF Group is marketing their new luxury perfume for women as an aphrodisiac- down to the very bottle it is sold in, which has the appearance of a vintage medicine bottle.
