Prepaid tipping is also increasingly common on cruise ships, though passengers are usually allowed the option of freely adjusting their tipping percentage at the ship’s service desk. HNA Tourism Publicizes First and Largest Luxury Cruise Ship out of Mainland China

As if China hasn’t been producing enough goods lately, they are now making their mark on the cruise line industry. HNA Tourism recently founded the first Chinese cruise company to own their own vessel. The ship “Henna,” the mainland’s largest cruise ship ever, is set to make its appearance onto the wild blue yonder January 26, 2013. The ship contains 739 rooms and can hold up to 1,965 passengers. As interest in Asia increases among the world’s traveling elite, HNA Tourism Cruise and Yacht Management President Zhang Hao anticipates that the cruise industry in China will grow rapidly, and he and his company obviously hope to remain at the top of the pyramid. Crystal Cruises Announces Itineraries for 2014 and Early 2015

Crystal Cruises recently announced its full year of worldwide voyages for 2014, and its itineraries up to mid-April 2015. The cruising line is the early bird of the flock luxury liners, being the first to unveil its itineraries for that time frame so far in advance. There are new seven- and 10-day cruises available in 2014. There are 16 maiden calls among the 194 total ports that span 68 countries. Luxury cruise ships have been broadening their port of calls lately, no longer merely floating down the Mediterranean or sailing around the Bahamas. The Falkland Islands, located in the South Atlantic Ocean about 300 miles off the coast of Argentina, have become the newest destination hitting 2012/13 season itineraries. October 6 saw the first visit to the Islands by cruise ship Ushuaia which brought 84 guests to the capital of Stanley.
