Spyker Timepieces Celebrate Firm's 24 Hours of Le Mans Participation

Collectible Watches: Finding the perfect Christmas gift for the motoring enthusiast is made easier with the availability of Spyker's limited edition timepiece collection. The Spyker-branded chronographs were introduced at this years 24 Hours of Le Mans and were designed and engineered by renowned watch and luxury goods expert, Thierry Chaunu of Expression D'Artistes International S.A. A limited run of 250 units is on hand for those in solid 18K grey or rose gold finishes while 1,000 units are offered for the polished steel finish and another 1,000 for those with matt black titanium finishes. The quilted leather bracelets are hand-stitched in France using Royal Dutch Hulshof leather, which is what Spyker uses for its supercar interiors.... Read More

$2.5 Million Patek Philippe On Offer at Christie’s Geneva

Fine Watches: An exceptionally rare and highly important pink gold Patek Philippe expected to fetch up to $2.5 million will highlight of Christie's Important Watches sale in Geneva on November 15. The two crown world time wristwatch with 24 hour indication and blue enamel dial, Ref. 2523 (above), was manufactured in 1953. In addition to Ref. 2523, two other pink gold Pateks in the sale are expected to top out at over $1 million as well. L.A. Lakers' Championship Ring Contains Piece of Game 7 Ball

Collectible Rings: During a pre-game ceremony at the Staples Center in L.A. the L.A. Lakers, winners of the 2009-2010 NBA championship, received their championship rings last night prior to the tip-off of the team's first game of the new season. While the Lakers being the league's champs two consecutive years is a feat, Jason's of Beverly Hills being chosen as the designer of the commemorative rings for the NBA's championship team is an equally impressive accomplishment. Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore pays tribute to Jarno Trulli

Tribute Watches: It has been a terrible season for Jarno Trulli (a one-time winner of the Formula One grand prix) but Audemars Piguet doesn't seem to mind that as Trulli is being honored with a commemorative special edition. In the past, Audemars Piguet has had F1 drivers, Rubens Barrichello and Juan Pablo Montoya, as its ambassadors. Of course Trulli has an impressive resume, as he has been a Formula Three national champion and has been racing in F1 since 1997. The Formula One grand prix has only had 102 winners, meaning that Trulli certainly deserves the honor. He also had pole position four times, the podium 11 times and so far in his career, had scored over 246 points.... Read More
