Park Hyatt Hyderabad Hotel Opens in India

The opening of the Park Hyatt Hyderabad adds a new five-star quality hotel to the PH catalog of locations around the world. The new hotel features 185 guestrooms, 24 suites, and 42 luxury apartments for guests. It is the first hotel in Hyderabad to offer fully serviced luxury apartments. The area is a high-tech hub and is one of the richest cities in India. Mahali Mzuri will be added to the Virgin Limited Edition of luxury properties. The Kenyan safari camp is due to open in 2013. The camp will be situated in the Motorogi Conservancy in the Maasai Mara ecosystem of Kenya. Wynn Las Vegas Rolls Out Digital Taxi Cab Marketing Program

Wynn Las Vegas has a new interactive marketing campaign that is debuting this week in 1,000 taxicabs both on the Las Vegas strip and in the downtown area. The luxury hotel has partnered with Show Media to produce GPS-based audio and video tours for passengers. They include video tours of Wynn Las Vegas and Encore dining, entertainment attractions, shopping, and nightlife. Each vehicle contains a proprietary mobile device system with a 10.1-inch viewing window and touch-screen technology. The video will be updated consistently and serve as a source of information for visitors. There are no worries on whether the $20-million facelift of The Madison Hotel will be completed in time for the Presidential Inauguration in January 2013. The storied hotel, which was officially opened by guest of honor President John F. Kennedy in February 1963, has accommodated innumerable VIP guests throughout its history. It was announced that the hotel’s restoration is set for completion sometime in April 2012, with renowned interior designer Dominick Coyne at the helm of this elaborate project. The luxury cruise line Crystal Cruises ended February on a brisk note, reporting that it had achieved its highest ever weekly revenue. Crystal had previously published that its fares would be good through February 28, 2012; however, it extended the BookNow deadline to February 29, which resulted in an influx of bookings. On March 1, the company raised fees from $200 to $1,000 per couple on 19 of its cruises for 2012 and 2013.
