Luxury Hotels: This winter, Colorado welcomes another Four Seasons to its snowy landscape. The Four Seasons Resort and Residences Vail opened with a quiet ribbon-cutting ceremony on December 10th. This is a relatively boutique property with 121 guest units, 19 fractional-ownership residences and 16 private residences—but it boasts some of the biggest guest rooms in Vail Valley. The smallest is 580 square feet; the largest spans 3500 square feet. All of them have fireplaces—crucial for coziness during Vail’s cold and snowy winter nights. The property is in Vail Village, a 5-minute walk to the Vista Bahn lift.... Read More

Hotel Review: As we made our way towards Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain, it became apparent that this is the kind of resort you visit to get away from it all. There are few places more classically Southwestern than the Tucson area of Arizona: a vast desert landscape, a harshly beautiful backdrop of reds and orange, with cacti lending shades of green to the scenery. Saguaro cacti, the classic plant you envision with multiple arms, populate this region in large numbers; they only live naturally here in the Sonoran desert.... Read More

Hotel Review: Enchanting: that's the best one word description for Carmel, if not the town's picturesque L'Auberge Carmel, a 20 guest room inn that has made the guest service experience a shining masterpiece. The village of Carmel, founded is 1906, holds a number of artistic masterpieces within quaint galleries and showrooms, but a true work of lies in the L'Auberge experience.
Hotel Reviews: Collier County is the wealthiest county in Florida, and home to Naples and Marco Island. Here, the fortunate believe in giving back, as evidenced by their large, philanthropic Wine Festival, and active community theater. Still, the region is known for its second homes and upscale hotels. No property embodies the latter profile better than the La Playa Beach and Golf Resort. In an atmosphere that's more relaxed than starstruck, guests enjoy sumptuous dining at Baleen restaurant. The only thing showy is the sunset- on a lucky night you'll see the natural phenomena known as the green flash.

Resort Review: We have now visited The Point, the highest rated property in the
United States twice. Once in summer and once in winter, the problem lies in deciding which season was the best.
This luxurious former Great Camp of William Avery Rockefeller, located deep in the pine woods along the shores of Upper Saranac Lake in New York state, welcomes guests during all four seasons to what feels like a private house party, pampering you unashamedly until you say to yourself at the end of your stay, “So THAT’S what it’s like to be one of the 19th Century magnates!”... Resort Review: The 44-acre balmy plot of paradise on San Diego's Mission Bay, also known as the Paradise Point Resort and Spa, has never looked so alluring. Now flaunting a $20 million renovation, the resort has upped the meaning of "paradise" with 462 lushly upgraded bungalow-style guestrooms and stunning meeting facilities. Our lovely bungalow featured exotic furniture facing a double door patio that led out to a private strip of beach along Mission Bay. Sailboats and sea birds lazily crossed our view during the afternoon, while the sun finished the day with a dip into the horizon. A quick stroll along the grounds led my travel companion and I to the resort's charming 18-hole mini golf course, which was meticulously landscaped and provided us with bouts of laughter. (We ti... Ritz-Carlton Kapalua
Let me put it this way: I entered as D-lister Kathy Griffin, channeled my inner Angelina, and exited on the A-list. And that’s pretty much what you should expect at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua’s Waihua Spa, with its warm, welcoming ambience. Here, I experienced the signature Kapalua Castaway ($225 for 80 minutes, plus 20% gratuity), which is ideal if you’re seeking the ... Read More
