4 Tips To Give New Look For Your Store

If you own and run your own little convenience store, or even a large supermarket, you need to make certain changes in your layout every once in a while so that your customers will enjoy their shopping experience. If you are looking for some tips on getting a new and effective convenience store design, then maybe these tips will help you come up with something good.

1. Customize Your Checkout Counter

Your customers do not enjoy waiting in long queues just so they can pay for their purchases, so you need to get rid of your antique cash register and invest in a couple of modern ones instead. You should at least have a bar code scanner to make the checkout process a bit faster; you could also invest in a conveyor belt system so that your customers do not have to hold onto their goods while waiting for their turn. It's these small little details that make your customers enjoy shopping.

2. Make The Aisles Wider

Do not stock up on too many goods that your aisles can only fit one person at a time. If you want your customers to have a pleasant time browsing through your wares, then you should give them some room to operate. The recommended aisle width for a small convenience store is around one and a half meters, any smaller than that and your customers will feel like they are getting boxed in by the gondolas. Play around with a couple of convenience store design layouts, like having more shelves placed on the walls rather than in the middle of the floor so that you can come up with layout that will work for you.

3. Improve Your Lighting

Nobody likes to shop in a dimly-lit store so you should invest in a new lighting system that will allow people to clearly see what you have for sale. Placing a couple of sets of fluorescent tubes in every aisle is recommended; you can hang them from some posts from the ceiling if it is pretty high, or you can have them recessed inside and install a diffusers if the ceiling is low. If you are worried about your electric bill, then invest a bit more money and purchase long-lasting and highly-efficient LED tubes.

4. Update You Product Displays Often

You need to keep your customers informed about any new product releases and sales that you might have in your store so you should change the product displays at least every month or so.
In Closing...
These may seem pretty simple tips on revamping your convenience store design, but they do in fact work quite well. If you start noticing that your sales figures are not going well these past few months, then you should start considering making some subtle changes on how you run your business; and changing the layout and look of your store is probably the first thing that you should change for the better.
