A Luxury Travel Guide to Europe – Top 5 Cities to Visit

Europe

Ivan

When it comes to living life to the fullest, Europeans have a few things to teach the rest of the world, and they are glad to show you the finer points in life, if you are ready to heavily invest in your hedonistic pleasures, that is. While most travel articles around the web deal with cheap travel and backpacking, we will take a look at more glamorous ways of spending a holiday in Europe. These five sites were chosen because of their history of excellence when it comes to hosting guests who are used to living the high life, an abundance of fine dining establishments and a plenty of unique luxury activities to suit even the most highly developed tastes.

Monte Carlo, Monaco

The famous Monte Carlo is too difficult to fully describe in a short paragraph, but let’s just say that the old architecture mixed with a modern style, expensive cars that drive down its narrow streets and the fact that they have a prince will leave you feeling like you are in a fairytale. The casinos are large and luxurious, with private rooms reserved for the big bawlers where black tie is the norm. You can enjoy some exciting Formula 1 racing at the Monaco Grand Prix, spend some time at the tables and retire to a luxurious suite, James Bond style.

Amsterdam, Netherlands

While Amsterdam may have earned a reputation as a crazy party town over the years – with the legal drugs, Red Light district and all – it is also a place of tremendous historical significance, and offers a lot to the more refined traveler. Hot air balloon rides, private boats and helicopter rides are just some of the things you can do in Amsterdam if you are feeling adventurous or want to spark up some romance. Its beautiful canals, creative architecture and open-minded people will amaze you, and there are plenty of high end hotels and restaurants for those who like to travel in style.

Nice, France

Nice is truly a gem of the French Riviera, and is even known as Nice the Beautiful. Numerous Hollywood stars, as well as the crème de la crème of the rich and famous from all around the world have spent their summers here, so it’s safe to say that this city knows how to treat high-caliber guests. Long stretches of beach, glamorous hotels, fine French cuisine and incredible wine are just some of the reasons to visit this lovely city. The harbor is host to a number of luxury yachts and cruisers year-round, and art lovers will also have a lot to look forward to.

Prague, Czech Republic

The Czech capital is a true dreamland, where the beautiful traditional architecture is so well preserved that it almost makes you feel like a time-traveling tourist at times. It is a blend of Slavic and Germanic traditions, and offers lots of interesting museums, music and film festivals, and one of the best zoos in the world. The world-famous Prague Astronomical Clock is truly a sight to behold, and the wide selection of high quality beers may be a big selling point for some people. A number of Hollywood and Indian movies were shot in Prague as well, so the city really makes you feel like you are a part of something special.

Ürgüp, Turkey

While not technically in Europe, this city has so much to offer that we’ll just have to say its close enough to count. A balloon ride across the fairytale-like stone structures of Cappadocia is once in a lifetime experience that you will remember for the rest of your life. If you want an authentic and unique experience, then you should definitely book a room in one of their beautiful cave hotels, carved right into the rocks. It is far from a caveman experience, however, as these hotels offer the highest quality service that will spoil anyone.

With such a wide range of great options available, people who are accustomed to traveling in luxury, and getting the most of their vacation, will have a hard time settling on just one. Europe has something for everyone, so if you know exactly what kind of experience you are looking for, then it will be easy to choose one of these cities for your next trip.
