A yacht is an exquisite watercraft that anyone would love to own. The word yacht comes from the Dutch word jacht which means to hunt. Originally the term was defined as a sailing vessel that was fast and light. It was used by the Dutch navy to catch pirates around the waters. Later on, the vessel was used to carry on board important folks like Charles II of England.

 

Heesen and Crazy Me

The latest showcase to come from Heesen Yachts is called Crazy Me. The company has made a name for itself by offering a line of semicustom yachts. From the sundeck of the yacht to the yacht's waterline, this 164 foot vessel is made to meet the specifications of the owner. Gary Grant Design is the creator of the exterior profile of the yacht. Gary Grant Design is well known for its unique looking yacht designs. 

 

AB 140

AB Yachts has released the AB 140 which is an open style yacht that is water-jet powered. AB Yachts is well known as the producer of the Fipa Group, the Italian shipyard. The AB 140 is made to have a maximum speed of 40 knot with a triple MTU diesel engine. This model contains a draft that is less than four feet. This is perfect for owners since they can easily take in the sights of shallow water locales such as the Bahamas. The AB 140 has a sauna and gym aboard along with a master suite, twin cabins as well as VIP staterooms.

 

Azimut 80

The Azimut 80 is named 80 since it is 80 feet in length. It was designed at the headquarters in Avigiliana, Italy. The yacht creation is semicustom and has four different interior design schemes available to choose from. These schemes include relaxed, classic, sophisticated and contemporary. Each of the layouts of the Azimut 80 is designed to comfortably accommodate eight guests throughout its trio of cabins. The yacht also has a 452 square feet fly bridge which features a full bar and retractable big screen TV.

 

Hakvoort Shipyard Apostrophe

The Hakvoort Shipyard has launched its latest creation of yachts called the Apostrophe. This amazing vessel is over 130 feet in length. The owner of the yacht had the vessel blessed by a Russian Orthodox priest. The Apostrophe accommodates eight guests and is expected to appear at the 2013 Monaco Yacht Show in September.

 

Palmer Johnson 210

Palmer Johnson is an American shipbuilder that launched the PJ 210 this summer. This 210 foot vessel has a trio of decks and a sleek bow. Its cabins can accommodate half a dozen folks with a master suite along with VIP suite. The outside of the yacht has a huge deck that also doubles as a helipad. 

 

In more modern uses, the term yacht is used to describe two different types of watercraft.  Those types are sailing vessels and power boats.  They are mainly used for leisure purposes.  They are also described motor boats used for primarily private pleasure purposes.  Yachting News has all the yachting information you need.
