Looking to cut down on fuel consumption, BMW is starting to focus more on efficient vehicles rather than all-electric models. From a business perspective, this is definitely the right move. Even still, from an environmentalism perspective, this still seems better than releasing gas guzzlers like so many companies did in the late 90s and early 2000s.
Despite all the hype at car shows in the last few years, it has become clear that electric cars will not appear on roads fast enough to save the planet. As a result, when the Paris Auto Show opens next week, the emphasis will be on new, improved varieties of internal combustion.
