Can exercises prevent illness?


Without any doubt there is a strong unbreakable connection between health and exercise that most of us don't recognize as an imperative in our lives. When thinking about exercises most of people see it as a help to make a desirable physical appearance. This can be acceptable point of view because the side effect of the exercises emerges in staying healthy. On the other hand, many of us do not have a habit to exercise whether as a result of the lack of time, or just because we are lazy.

Being unaware of the positive effect exercises have on our health, we only start thinking about it when we get ill. In other words, most of the people do not see the idea of the prevention as an important one. We are responsible for becoming sick hence we are also the only one who can influence in preventing it.

The main question is what illness can we prevent with the exercises or what can go wrong if you don't exercise properly?

I am going to list some of the illness with the explanation about the exercise effect, to stress the importance of physical activity:

1. High blood pressure

Body fatness is associated with blood pressure and exercises help reduce it.

2. Non insulin-dependent Diabetes

This type of diabetes can be controlled and prevented with the physical activity by reducing body fatness.

3. Heart disease

Everyday exercise strengthen your heart muscle, lower your cholesterol and improve your blood flow and working capacity of your heart.

4. Depression and anxiety

Many researches show that exercises influence on our mood and the way we feel about ourselves. It also helps us controlling and managing everyday stress. Helping with all this it helps us reducing depression and anxiety.

5. Colon cancer

Simply put, when you move your body the waste in your body is moving also. Through exercises, you get extra help to remove and push waste through your colon because they stimulate peristalsis, a muscular contraction. Exercising is decreasing colon cancer risk by up to 40% as shown in some researches.

6. Premature death

Living a long and satisfying life is every person wish. Exercises build strength, endurance, fitness and flexibility.

The list is much longer but these illness should definitely get your attention. The exercises can influence so much on our well being but we are only focused on physical appearance. Regular activities can help protect from stroke, obesity, back pain, osteoporosis. If you are under so much stress and feeling exhausted all the time a good training in a gym would make you a new person .

All you need to do to help yourself is work out for 20 or 30 minutes three or more times a week. We are very lucky having 24/7 working gyms on every corner, at least, but we still don't use them often.The answer is perhaps in the lack of knowledge about what illness can exercise prevent. 24/7 working gyms are so well equipped today and you will always find a professional fitness trainer in it.

If you are still not convinced I will give you an example from a real life. A friend of mine was suffering from a depression. He decided to try to get in touch with himself again and started going to a gym. Now he's a professional trainer in the best 24/7 h gym in Brisbane. Do not take your health and well being for granted, just do your best to prevent it and use exercises to forestall illnesses.
