Chicago Nightclubs - Dress Code Enforced

Even though bars and nightclubs are catered to a more adult crowd, stepping into some of them is reminiscent of attending a freshmen high school dance, complete with backward ball caps, baggy jeans and tank tops. While the following locations aren’t black-tie venues, they are still known to strictly enforce dress codes:

Excalibur Nightclub: With multiple venues in one location, Chicago’s Excalibur Nightclub has been deemed Chicago Tribune’s “Best Nightclub in Chicago” in a recent reader poll. Housed in a national landmark that was built for the Chicago Historical Society, the bars, lounges and dancing areas throughout Excalibur provide different scenes for guests without them having to drive all over town.

Dress Code: No tennis shoes, sports jerseys or baseball hats.

Club Nikki Chicago: Club Nikki has two levels of entertainment available and each has its own DJ, dance floor and bar. With nightly drink specials and themed events, Club Nikki is a great place to celebrate special days or even just the end of the week. As this is a popular location, booking a table in advance is highly recommended.

Dress Code: No gym shoes, boots, baggy clothing or polo shirts. All clothing must be well fitted.

Zentra Nightclub: With 10,000 square feet of dancing and drinking available, Zentra Nightclub is a location where patrons can let go of their inhibitions and truly enjoy themselves. This location has a Hindi theme and offers a different take on the club scene through diverse, exotic-sounding dance music and three venues to party the night away.

Dress Code: Upscale. No hats, boots, t-shirts or sports attire. Sometimes dress attire is required, dependent on event.

Stereo Nightclub: This location is full of great music, dancing and drinking. Stereo Nightclub keeps the energy high and the lights low while customers enjoy a blend of American and European house, trance and drum and bass.

Dress Code: No hats, hooded shirts, men’s shorts, baggy pants, tank tops, gym shoes, sandals or logoed clothing.
