Children Often Not Safe in Vehicles

A study published on the American Journal of Preventative Medicine website shows that many parents are being extremely neglectful in regards to the methods used of buckling children in while they drive. This shows some scary trends and hopefully safety institutes can figure out a way to rectify these dangerous practices.

 

When children are passengers in cars, trucks, and vans, low numbers of them are using car safety restraints appropriate for their age group, a new study shows.

Researchers also found that many youngsters may be at an increased risk of injury during a motor vehicle accident because they are sitting in the front seat of cars at ages when they shouldn't be and when seat belts might not fit them -- if they are worn at all. Continue Reading
