Cities to Visit #9: San Juan

Although Puerto Rico is, for all intents and purposes, a part of the United States (which means no passport required to go there, all you felons), the island and San Juan couldn’t be much more of a departure from American culture or demographics. This being the case, one of the biggest benefits that I see for going on vacation in San Juan would be twofold: First, I’d get to soak up the sun in an island culture and have a blast and, second, I would be able to do all of that without having to worry about carrying foreign currency or getting ripped off over exchange rates.

Otherwise, I see this as a place filled with fun and relaxing activities, with San Juan’s attractions being a bit more on the educational side, the majority of my time would just be spent on or near the beach, enjoying a few cocktails on the European-inspired streets and just having an all-around quiet vacation, at least until I find a festival or party to throw myself into.
