USA’s 236th birthday and the Bicentennial of the War of 1812. Both are pivotal moments in our fabulous country’s storied history so in anticipation of this year’s Fourth of July celebrations (including the arrival of the Tall Ships), celebrate like a true patriotic American by honoring your fellow servicemen and women.
What better way to do just that than by supporting the fundraising efforts of the New England Warrior Benefit, which will be held on July 3. From now until the event, they are auctioning off five special hand-crafted and custom-branded DIRICO Motorcycles (created by Boston’s own Steven Tyler and Mark Dirico), each themed to represent a different branch of the United States Military Special Operations Forces.
The auction is being conducted by http://www.biddingforgood.com and overseen by The Fallon Family Charitable Foundation. The DIRICO motorcycles are each one-of-a-kind collector’s items, valued in excess of $50,000. They bring together Harley Davidson parts and accessories with DIRICO frames and designs to create motorcycles that are both refined and distinctive.
The event on July 3 will celebrate the valor of all of our Special Ops, including Navy Seals, Green Berets, Army Rangers and Pararescuemen. Proceeds will benefit five nonprofit organizations supporting the families of wounded and fallen U.S. Special Forces troops - The Navy SEAL Foundation, The Wounded Warrior Project (Army), The Special Operations Warrior Foundation (directed at Air Force members), The Semper Fi Fund (Marines) and No Greater Sacrifice, dedicated to helping fallen and wounded service members’ children.
