One day after I posted the story about Kevin Clash being accused of an inappropriate underage relationship with a boy, Clash's accuser has come out to recant his accusations. Clash never denied the relationship, but denied that boy was not in fact a boy, but over 18 years of age during the time of the relationship. Low and behold, on Tuesday, the accuser's lawyers released a statement that the accusations had been recanted. What a way to really mess with a man's life and career! Wonder if Elmo will soon be addressing the issue of distructive lies on an upcoming Sesame Street episode...
Kevin Clash is no longer facing a claim thathe was involved in an underage sexual relationship.
The puppeteer, 52, who is the voice of Elmo on Sesame Street, was granted a leave of absence from the long-running program amid an accusation from an unidentified male that Clash was having sex with him at age 16.
On Tuesday the law firm that represents the accuser released a statement to the Los Angeles Times, recanting the claim. Read more...
