Once the weather gets warm here in Massachusetts, everyone starts planning a visit to the local islands – Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket – and we were no exception when we recently visited the Harbor View Hotel on the Vineyard.
For dinner, we recommend the on-site Lighthouse Grill located just off the main lobby. We got started with a sampling of local Katama Bay oysters served with a side of spicy cocktail sauce and a tasty mignonette. The warm Baja shrimp was delicious and Henry’s seasonal clam chowder (filled with fresh corn) should not be missed. We loved the blackened swordfish served atop a smooth potato puree and fresh asparagus. For land lovers, the melt-in-your-mouth ribeye is a standout here.
