Day to Day Detail itinerary- Click Here

Day 01: Pick up from Kathmandu airport and trek preparations

On the arrival you are required to work on visa in Kathmandu airport. Right after that please look for our representative together with an Adventure Discovery Treks & Expedition (p) Ltd show board at the arrival gate who is waiting for welcoming you. Transfer to Hotel.

Note: You can add one more extra day in Kathmandu for sightseeing - Only if you are interested.

Day 02: Kathmandu- Lukla & Trek to Fakding [2,610m/8561ft] - 4 hours walk.

The early morning flight to Lukla (2,800m) from Kathmandu domestic airport where our trek begins from, roughly 35 minute’s pleasing flight takes us to Lukla airport and we meet other porters and manage the bags. After breakfast in Lukla then our trek goes down from Lukla gate first and we arrive Chaurikharka then trek ahead faintly up hill beside Dhudh Koshi River to Fakding for 4 hours crossing Choplung, Thado Koshi Gaon and Ghat, etc. fakding for over night stay

Day 03: Fakding To Namche Bazaar [3,440m/11,283ft] 6 hours walks

All from side to side the thin tropical forest passing pine trees and crossing more than a few suspension bridges at the Dhudh Koshi River & passing Benkar, Chumoa and Manjoo village lastly we turn up to Jorsalle Sagarmatha (Everest) National park check post. After trek goes further on we meet the meeting spot of Dhudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi Rivers. The last element to Namche is steep up from the bottom of river through jungle for about 3 hours. We also may have look Everest top on the climb if weather is clear. We arrive to Namche- The main Sherpa heartland.

Day 04: Rest day at Namche bazaar – hike around

On our acclimatization day of Everest Base Camp trek- Hiking to Everest View hotel would be a grand idea to view the Everest Himalayan range and also for getting used to. The hike to Khumjung village through Syangboche airstrip also best hike to explore local school. At Namche top close to Army headquarter here is a Tourist visitor’s center where you can study about the living thing can be found around Everest Himalayan range and about Sherpa climbers as well some mountain information. To find administration offices, ATMs, Internet, supermarkets and restaurants you may take walk around Namche Bazar too.

Day 05: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche [3,860m/12,661ft] 5 hours walks

The trek from Namche presents easy flat trail on high above (Left side) of Dhudh Koshi River in starting transitory more than a few turnings and with the view of Mt. Everest Top (8,848m) Mt. Nuptese (7,864m) Mt. Ama dablam and Mt. Lhotse (8,501m) as well as other snow capped  mountains. Crossing Kayangjuma and Sansa the trek slightly goes down to Phungi Tenga small town on the side of River with few tea houses. Then trek goes steep climb to Tengboche through the forest. Tengboche is spectacular place with monastery and bounded by white peaks. We will have short visit to Tengboche Monastery in the evening around 5 pm. Stay overnight at Tengboche.

Day 06: Tengboche to Dingboche [4360m/14,301ft]

Today, first part goes down through forest until we cross the small bridge the trek slightly goes up and arrives at Pangboche village. Afterwards we might have our lunch at Orsho. We will see the first view of Mt. Pumori (7,165m) from Orsho then we fallow the wide valley and arrives the meeting point of trail to Phiriche and Dingboche. We take right trail and cross the small river and short steep climbs before arrive at Dingboche. Dingboche located is an open valley offers the view of Island peak (6,189m), Mt. Ama Dablam (6,814m) Mt. Lhotse (8,501m) Thamserku Himalayan range (Stay Overnight.

Day 07: Another rest day at Dingboche

This is not rest day, it means we steep hike to either high above to Dingboche Ri top viewing the Dingboche village which is close to Nuptse or take easy hike to Chhukung (4,743m) through the wide valley. If you make effort ahead there is two different lovely Imja Tso & Chokarmo Tso lake close to Island peak base camp (But will be too long about 8 to 9 hours go and back altogether) The village Chukung offers close view of island peak, Lotse and Ama Dablam. The village Chukung looks like deserts without any green trees. We trek back down to Dingboche.

Day 08: Dingboche to Lobuche [4,940m/16,203ft] - 6 hours walk

 After breakfast we take short steep hike first and arrive at yak farm on wide valley enjoying the Tawache Peak (6,542m) and Cholatse peak (6,440m) view on left side. Gradually up hill on high above Phiriche valley. Before we arrive at Dhugla we will have chance to see Mt. Pumori again. Then trek descends shortly to small stream to cross the wooded bridge and short uphill to Dhugla for lunch. Then trek goes on steep up to Thughla pass top where array of stones and prayers flags has putted as memory of American climber Acott Fischer. Now the trek goes pretty flat to Lobuche along the Khumbu glacier viewing View point Kala Patthar (5,545m), Khumbutse (6,639m) Pumori (7,165m) as well other  Himalayan view to Lobuche. Lobuche is Located on the lap of Lobuche east peak (6,090m), Stay overnight at Lobuche.

Day 09: Lobuche to Gorek Shep [5,181m/16,994ft] –Everest Base camp [5,364m/17,594ft] - Gorek Shep 7- 8 hours.

Keep on trekking along the left side of Khumbu glacier crossing pyramid symbol post and additional view of north rim of Everest next to Khumbutse and Pumori. Also we catch the view of Kala Patthar after hiking steeply stony trail up to the top through the stream of Changri Glacier.  As we arrive at the Gorek Shep we keep our bags and keep on for Hike to Everest base Camp passing several short up and down hills. We won’t be seeing Mt Everest from base camp so we got to climb Kala Patthar next day morning. But still Khumbu ice fall, Khumbu glacier, Mt. Pumori, Khumbutse and several white peaks views from Everest Base camp makes worth of it. Now, we trek back to Gorak Shep.

Day: 10: Gorekshep to Kala Patthar [5,545m/18,188ft]-Phiriche [4,280m]

An early morning climb required to get Kala Patthar (Black Rock) to see the stunning views of Mt. Everest. The Pumori (7,165m) from Kala Patthar is in very close distance. One more time we have look the enormous Mt Khumbutse (6,639m), Lingtren peak(6,749m) Mt. Everest (8,848m), Mt Lhotse Shar (8,393m), Lhotse (8,501m) on the east side Mt Nuptse (7,864m), Mt Ama Dablam (6,814m) on south side, Cholatse peak, Tawache peak on the west side and Mt Pumori and Changri on the north side. Sitting on a rock and our eyes talking view and wondering one massive to another, we trek down to Gorekshep for breakfast and start back to Phiriche crossing Lobuche and Dhugla. Mostly downhill today to Phireche from Gorekshep, Stay over night

Day 11: Pheriche to Namche [3,440m]

As we ahead from Phireche village first we cross the bridge of Khumbu Khola and short up hill and again walk down to cross the Orsho village and trek down to Pangboche keep on down and pass the small bridge then up to Tengboche through the forests. After lunch here we trek steep down through forest again to Phunki Drengka and again steep climb up to Sansa and arrives at Kyanjuma. Fallowing trail high above Dhudh Kosi River and flat trail ptakes us by crossing several turning at Namche again.

Day 12: Namche to Lukla (2,80m]

As we start trek from Namche we walk steeply down through the pine jungles until we arrive to cross the Dhudh Koshi tall Bridge then we arrive at Jorsalle and check post and we cross the Lovely Sherpa village Manjoo to Fakding for lunch. Our trek keeps on Chaurikharka and climbs up before arrive at Lukla gate again through the forest.

Day 13: Lukla to Kathmandu on morning flight.

The Nepal Everest base camp with Kala Patthar trek journey has come at the end today as you take flight to Kathmandu. Have rest and relax at Kathmandu Hotel. Share your experience with us. Day 14: Final Departure to your own destination.

Best season for Everest Base Camp trek

Autumn:

September- October and November are really Nepal’s best trekking months-presents outstanding weather, and clear mountain scenery. This season would be the best selection to travel around Nepal.

Spring:

Acclimatization / High altitude suggestions

Adventure Discovery treks has designed Everest Base camp trek itinerary with high scale of consciousness of Acute Mountain sickness (AMS). Our suggestion would be walk slow, take rest quite a few places, drink enough water and don’t drink alcohol in high elevations. Be sure our leaders or guides will also have the general knowledge about AMS and also will be carrying medical kid box during the trek.

Meals/foods

All type of international choice are available as the all lodge and tea house has experienced cook who can prepare quality pizza, Chips to Apple pie.
