Though Christopher Kane has been rumored to have been hired by fashion house Balenciaga, filling a huge void left behind by the company's previous designer Ghesquiere, Balenciaga is denying the rumors and have said they will announce a name once they've finalized a decision. 

Late last night on Friday, Nov. 16, the French media confirmed that Balenciaga hired fashion designer Christopher Kane. He will replace Nicholas Ghesquiere as the new designer of the brand.

Kane is the brains behind the Christopher Kane line. Him and his sister, Tammy Kane, created and founded the Christopher Kane label private label in 2006. Christopher Kane has collaborated since 2009 with Donatello Versace.

He is anticipated to start with Balenciaga on Dec. 1, 2012. The Le Nouvel Observateur confirmed that date, although there is no cited source. Read More
