Karl Lagerfeld Enlists Tilda Swinton for Upcoming Campaign

Remember that awesome Scottish palace that Karl Lagerfeld used for one of his shows in December? Well, the killer fashions shown off there are finally getting readied to be released, with ads slated to start appearing in June. And, to top all that off, Lagerfeld has chosen Tilda Swinton as one of the line's primary models, rounding off what should be a stellar campaign.

Who can forget how captivating Tilda Swinton was portraying an androgynous nobleman roaming through a castle in the 1992 film “Orlando”? Certainly not Karl Lagerfeld, who cast the Oscar-winning actress in Chanel’s advertising campaign for the Paris-Edinburgh collection, the luxury métiers d’art range of pre-fall ready-to-wear paraded last December at Linlithgow Palace. The ads are slated to break in June magazines.

Lagerfeld first photographed Swinton around the time of “Orlando,” and reunited with her for the shoot earlier this month in the Château d’Ecouen, a castle from the Renaissance period located near Chantilly, France. Read More
