Las Ventanas al Paraiso - the ultimate in luxury Los Cabos

Private Patio and Pool

If you are looking for the ultimate in a luxurious vacation, Las
Ventanas is the resort for you!  There’s definitely a reason (well,
actually many reasons) why celebrities like Britney Spears, Gwyneth
Paltrow and Courtney Cox love to visit this Mexican/Mediterranean
styled property.

The beginning of your Las Ventanas experience occurs as soon as you
arrive at the Los Cabos airport.  You are quickly whisked away by
Mercedes SUV and offered bottled water, Mexican sweets and your choice
of music as you relax and enjoy the short ride to the resort.  Unlike
many of the other resorts along the resort corridor, Las Ventanas is
well off the road and only marked by a tiny sign.  If you didn’t know
where you were going, you would most likely miss it, which adds to the
exclusivity.

Arriving by night is most dramatic, as torches line the long drive.
When your vehicle pulls up to the front of the resort, all the staff
form a line to greet you.  At that time, we were given a delicious,
cool margarita shooter to enjoy, while our butler, Sergio, welcomed us
and explained a little about the resort.  Our bags were whisked away,
to reappear in the closet of our suite, while Sergio escorted us on a
tour of the resort, concluding with a tour of our suite and
explanations of dining, spa services and the butler services.

We had booked the luxury oceanview suite, which has a private patio,
plunge pool and hot tub, outdoor and indoor showers, Whirlpool tub and
full closet and dressing area.  A small bottle of Las Ventanas’ own
tequila, fresh limes and salt awaited us and Sergio demonstrated the
proper way to enjoy an authentic Mexican tequila shot.

From there, the next five days rolled by blissfully.  We enjoyed
delicious room-service meals, including the most delicious breakfast
that was waiting for us each morning when we woke up after ordering
the night before.  We experienced an amazing couples’ massage on our
private patio and each of us had an unparalleled spa day at The Spa.
The tequila lesson and tasting was a fun diversion and allowed us to
learn more about the history of tequila production in Mexico and the
different types of tequila.  We booked the ATV riding excursion and,
when our shuttle was delayed, Las Ventanas called us a private cab and
paid our fare to get us to the ATV site on time.  This was amazing
customer service, and really went above and beyond.  This is a
constant at Las Ventanas: the staff makes every meal and activity you
have planned flow seamlessly so you don’t have to worry about any
details.

On our last full day, we rented a Mini Cooper to drive up the Baja
coast to the small artists’ colony of Todos Santos.  Las Ventanas
packed us gourmet lunches in small coolers and we had a fun-filled day
of driving and sightseeing.  The best part of the day, though, was
returning to our luxurious accommodations at Las Ventanas to relax
before our dinner reservation at The Restaurant.  This was a singular
experience.  The Restaurant is so highly-rated that vacationers
reserve a table here even when they are staying at other Cabo resorts.
The food and service were amazing, from drinks and appetizers, to the
sommelier, to the little “amuse-bouche” treats that arrive between
courses.  This glamorous dinner was the perfect ending to a magical
vacation.  But that wasn’t the end.  When we returned to our suite
after dinner, we had a “surprise” waiting for us.

Las Ventanas is quite expensive, but everyone who’s stayed there will
tell you that the cost is worth it.  When you’re a guest at Las
Ventanas, you don’t have to lift a finger.  You can truly relax and
enjoy a stunning setting, delicious food, relaxing spa treatments and
a staff that is second to none.  We were so sad to leave, as the staff
again lined up at the lobby to wave goodbye to us.  Las Ventanas is
the kind of place you want to return to before you’ve even left.
