Legendary American restaurant Le Cirque has opened an outpost in India, marking a move to Asia.

The new Le Cirque is located at The Leela Palace New Delhi, the capital’s newest and most opulent hotel located in the heart of the prestigious Diplomatic Enclave. The new restaurant is a collaboration between Sirio Maccioni, founder of the acclaimed New York restaurant group, Le Cirque, and Capt. C. P. Krishnan Nair, chairman of The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts.

Capt. C. P. Nair, chairman of The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts said, “We are extremely pleased to introduce Le Cirque to Asia at The Leela Palace New Delhi. Le Cirque has been ranked among the best by food critics and esteemed guests worldwide and we are excited to present a fresh new dimension to dining in Delhi. Le Cirque provides an exquisite culinary experience that celebrates Italian and French cuisine. We are proud that the Maccioni family share our vision which is to bring only the finest in luxury to our guests.”

Sirio Maccioni said, “We are thrilled with the guest response to the first Le Cirque in Asia. India has emerged as one of the most important business and leisure destinations, globally.  Through our association with The Leela, we aim to bring a luxury dining experience consistent with international standards of excellence to this expanding and discerning clientele in India.”

The luxurious restaurant has added a number of vegetarian menu options in keeping with the new neighbourhood in India, including Sirio’s Pasta Primavera, Mama Egi’s Ravioli, Tuna in Pistachio Crust, Paupiette of Black Cod, Crème Brûlée and Floating Island ‘Le Cirque’.
