Lokai Promotes October's Breast Cancer Awareness Month with Pink Bracelets

Hoda Kotb

We all know October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month so to promote further awareness, lokai has launched a limited edition pink bracelet. Founded in 2013, lokai has committed to donating 10 percent of its net profits to a variety of non-profit organizations.

Their official partnership for the month of October is with Susan G. Komen, which kicked off on October 1. Available now through the end of the month, lokai will donate $1 to Komen for every pink lokai sold, with a guaranteed minimum donation of $250,000. The limited-edition pink bracelet represents a breast cancer awareness initiative intended to support Komen’s mission.

To further raise awareness, lokai encourages supporters to Instagram a photo that answers the question "Who is your lokai hero during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month?" tagging @livelokai, and @susangkomen, and by using the hashtags #livelokai and #lokaihero.

People always go loco with the launch over a new lokai, but lokai fans went especially crazy over the pink lokai, which made its official debut on October 1st in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month to benefit Susan G. Komen.

In just two-weeks the internet exploded. On Instagram, posts by lokai’s loyal following reached over 150M followers!  Enthusiastic posts by celeb fans included Khloe Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Kris Jenner, Giuliana Rancic, Bella Thorne, Rachel Zoe, Christie Brinkley, Hilary Duff, Joe Jonas, Kevin Jonas, Lance Bass, Zendaya, Paul Wesley, Dascha Polanco, Jordin Sparks, Ashley Greene, Daniella Monet, and Kelly Rutherford among many others.  Never in the history of Instagram has a product offering  ever done this!

During the month of October, lokai raised awareness at a millennial level for Susan G. Komen and generated stronger brand passion than ever before. Susan G. Komen has a traditionally adult following, but lokai delivered some seriously heightened exposure, while engaging a hip and extremely influential audience for the foundation.

The limited-edition pink bracelets can be purchased at www.mylokai.com.
