MAC continues the evolution of its innovative aesthetic with its Fall Winter 2016 collection. Deriving inspiration from 14th century opulent materials and technologically advanced treatments developed in their German labs, the MAC collection focuses on slim fits available in a wide range of fabric blends. Always keen to improve its sustainable coloring procedures, MAC utilizes all natural plant-derived pigments this season. In addition to the inevitable tans and khakis, the color palette focuses on deep shades of blues, smoky greys and oxblood reds.

While lush corduroys, printed velvets and shiny satin denim are reminiscent of the European Feudal Age, MAC introduces original fabrics, including the leather touch gabardine, a soft, coated cotton that feels extremely pleasant on the skin.

The iconic jog ‘n jeans—a comfortable mix of a chino and a sweat pant—are available both as cargo trousers and jeans. The pants are also coated with a vegetable-based wax that looks like lavish leather.

By using partially-recycled denim (up to one-fourth of the fabric content), MAC confirms its role as an eco-friendly company. Whether they are oil-washed for extra softness or brushed on the inside for additional comfort, all the denim styles are casually sophisticated and offer unusual fabric combinations.

Originally developed in the MAC labs, the innovative Tricotine denim provides top elasticity without altering the pants silhouette while the new bi-stretch denim expands both horizontally and vertically allowing for maximum stretch. The highlight of the season is the high-tenacity denim, an extremely durable fabric whose yarns are lighter than water, yet fifteen times harder than steel. Adding up to the complexity of this season’s fabric range is the heat-retaining Thermolite®, which provides total insulation from the coldest temperatures. The collection is enriched with subtle design details including leather trims, utility zips and vibrant printed linings.
