Malibu and Vine: A New Culinary Destination in Malibu

Outdoor Wine Bar

Castillo & Ruig Communications
The Malibu Wine Trail leading to the renowned Malibu Golf Club is a long and winding road that’s primarily been reserved for golf and wine enthusiasts. But that’s all about to change thanks to the recently unveiled Malibu and Vine Bar & Grille.
High, beamed ceilings, rustic wood tables and an elegant glass enclosed wine room make the indoors warm and comfortable, but the real treat lies just outside.  The wide open space, nestled by the majestic Santa Monica mountains, creates a most breathtaking setting. Take a seat at one of the tables flanked by heat lamps, fire pits and white lights or pull up a stool at the expansive outdoor wine bar featuring wines from some of the best family owned vineyards both locally and abroad.
Executive Chef Matt Zubrod, who spent twelve years with Ritz Carlton and was honored not once but twice as one of America’s best hotel chefs by the James Beard Foundation, leads Malibu and Vine. His delectable offerings include Duck Confit Tacos, Potato Crusted Mahi-Mahi and gourmet Mac and Cheese topped with bits of sizzling bacon. Save room for dessert – the caramelized apple bread pudding with bourbon vanilla sauce is not to be missed.
“The menu at Malibu and Vine is a reflection of the tremendous setting that surrounds us,” says Zubrod. “All of the items on our menu are fresh and produce is sourced locally from some of the finest farms and markets in the region.”
Malibu and Vine is open Thursday through Sunday with live music offered on the weekends.  For more, visit www.malibuandvine.com
