Everything that was a part of knowledge acquiring even though unconscious scheme still exists in the individuals of today, only in multitude.  Either on family holidays or individual quest, we travel from one part of the world to the other to know more about the history, art, traditions, nature, geography and many such interests. Consider for example Europe as a whole, and it is easy to understand in what amount of understanding one is exposed to.

People remain active in their live, thanks to the vast abundance on the face of earth, assimilation of (literally everything) which is hardly possible in one life. Here, we take the island nations / sovereign states of the European continent with the notion of holidays, and will try to figure out the benefits of being born with a human mind, and above all being able to luxuriate in the gifts of Nature.

United Kingdom

Not going into much of the geography, it would be sufficed to say that UK (or call it Britain if you like) in the collection of many prosperous islands, as a part of the North-west coast of the continent. The land is known for its colonial emperorship over many of the countries of the world, some of which are still under its rule, a part of British overseas territories.

Now, time is to be familiar with what a tourist mind would love here, along with its impalpable but dominating aspects like history, art, etc. Have a look.

Great Britain: Art galleries such as National Gallery, The National Portrait Gallery, The Tate, Theatres and Cinema in The Globe, Buckingham Palace, The Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s Cathedral, Trafalgar Square and the London Eye, Old and New town of Edinburg including Holyrood Palace in Scotland, and numerous other sites giving way to enthusiasm.

Today, people around the world also taking into account its natural beauty and other aspects. Some major tourist attractions include Scrabo Tower, Giant’s Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, the Glens of Antrim, Mourne Mountains and more.

Other Islands and Crown Dependencies: Isle of Man, Bailiwick of Guernsey and Jersey, etc, will definitely prove a worthy diversion from the rut.

Republic of Ireland

Separated from the Northern Ireland of the UK, this island republic has 26 counties of natural and historic splendour. The main cities that remain a tourism highlight include Limerick, Sligo, Galway, Killarney, Dublin, Cork, Kilkenny, Letterkenny and Waterford.

Some of the major tourist attractions are Ashford Castle, Carrowmore, National Gallery, Trim Castle, Leap castle, Portal Dolmen, Blarney Castle, Cliffs of Moher, Bunratty Castle, and the list can go really long.

Once here, it is impossible to miss on the delectable Irish cuisine, and could be one of your ultimate travel escapes, whether you are on an unscheduled trip to any unknown countryside or a well known tourism destination.

Republic of Malta

Many powers had ruled it leaving undeniable signs in term of architecture and cuisine. The place is also known for some of the prime biblical references, especially concerning the Apostles.

For the curiosity of a tourist, Valletta (a UNESCO World Heritage site), Cottonera (Jointly the cities of Birgu, Isla and Bormla), Mdina (old but well reserved capital), Rabat (known for Domus Romana), etc will do good in addition to the magnetic spots like Golden Bay, Blue Grotto, Mosta Dome, Gozo, Megalithic temples, and more.

Iceland

Mostly known for its snow wonder, Iceland is the least populated country of Europe.  However, the activities of tourists across the globe enliven the country in the months of October to April, which is the time for the occurrence of Northern Lights , a natural night-sky phenomenon in the regions nearer to North Pole. The country is among the wealthiest and most developed, and boasts Norse (underlining ‘North’) heritage.

Cyprus

The beauty of the Island country is not limited to lands and seas but goes beyond just the amalgamation of politico-cultural and geographical surprises. The Greek and Turkish influence could be noticed as well as tracked in all the sites on the place along with Cypriot cuisine.  The reason for the above to exist is geographical location of islands in Asia but political adherence to Europe.

For the love of tourism explore the extravagant coastal line, Nicosia (the capital) and its prime attraction Hamam Omerya, City of Paphos (a UNESCO World heritage site), City of Limassol (withs fort, castles and beaches), Agia Napa and Larnaca (for ancient architecture).
