The Head of the Charles Regatta is one of the biggest fall celebrations in Boston. The world’s largest two-day regatta has more than 11,000 rowers, who come to the banks of the Charles River to paddle in front of 400,000 onlookers. While the race took place last weekend, the celebration of the 50thcontinues with New Balance’s 990v3 “Regatta” shoe.
This was the first time New Balance created this custom shoe in honor of the Head of the Charles. We love the suede and mesh color palette that features blue gray colors with yellow accents to complement the sport of rowing. There is also a Head of the Charles 50th Anniversary logo on the heel, speckled midsole and course map on the shoe insert.
New Balance will also offer limited-edition performance apparel at The Tannery in Boston, including men’s and women’s T-shirts and jackets along with performance wear.
