On an 11-day escorted tour through Italy, I saw this area, and was surprised at how fast people drive along the narrow roads with the blind turns -- it's a lot scarier than Capri's drivers going faster through the hairpin turns because of the physical drop-offs in Amalfi. At times, when the shuttle is zipping along in the outer lane, the side of the road abruptly disappears from view, until you lean close to the window and look down to see a few centimeters of asphalt, the guardrail, the edge of the cliff, and the jagged rocks many meters below.
By chance, the road-side fruit and vegetable stand just happened to have some huge lemons about the size of the seller's head, possibly bigger. I snapped a shot of three above her head. Next time, I'll buy one, draw a smiley face, and then put my sunglasses on it; afterwards, I'll make limoncello ... for the ride back.
