Good background and article Susan. Portico has certainly grown very rapidly since they launched a year or so ago. Competitor Inspirato also just partnered with American Express which should ensure their fast growth continues. They've inspired others and there are now a few clubs with a similar rental model. In addition there are several equity destination clubs where the members actually own the club homes. There's a side by side comparison article of Inspirato compared to Portico here. Portico currently has a lower joining fee of $2,500, but Inspirato has more locations and residences, so there are pros and cons. If you're getting up to speed on the different clubs then this table is a good place to start to c compare the luxury vacation clubs , including all the equity based clubs.
