Back when I was barely getting my feet wet in the workforce, I held the title of barista for a couple years. Through the time I spent perfecting my mocha-making techniques, I figured that the stuff I was brewing up was on par with the best in the coffee industry. Nevertheless, Tabac Specialty Coffee & Cigars in San Diego has proved to me, without a doubt, that my concoctions were far from perfect. With a slow-steaming technique and some seriously high quality ingredients, the fine folks over at Tabac make the best coffee drinks I have ever had in my life, and I can’t praise them enough. 

As if that wasn’t enough, they also have a great selection of hookah flavors and a full walk-in humidor for us cigar smokers, making the location a serene and welcoming environment for those that normally get snubbed for smoking in public. Add in the smooth music and genuinely friendly staff and this place became my favorite coffee shop in all of San Diego, especially when I need to wind down after a night in the Gaslamp district.
