Star Trek and William Shatner fans will love this story - there's a new iPhone app called Shatoetry. Released last week, the app allows users to create sentences to be read back in Shatner's voice. The app contains a database of 400 spoken words and one day after it was released, became the most popular app on iTunes. This is yet another reason why I love Will Shatner. He isn't afraid to have fun and a good laugh, even at his own expense. I really hope this app gets released on Android!
William Shatner is living proof that "Star Trek" is a visionary series which brings futuristic technology to present day life.
The latest example in a long line of tech products which have become a reality, including laptops, iPads, MRI machines and even laser weapons is the voice of theEnterprise computer. Sort of.
Shatner has lent his golden tonsils to a new iTunes app, called "Shatoetry" which allows subscribers to create sentences, poetry, even Haiku, all drawn from a database of 400 words spoken by the legendary actor in a variety of his well-known and often imitated inflections.
