The Funniest Fundraiser in Town

The event, benefitting Urban Improv, which promotes violence prevention and youth development theater programs to Boston’s youth, gets underway at 6 p.m. at the Lansdowne Pub. Head here for drinks and food served up by some of Boston’s biggest chefs before moving next door to the House of Blues on Lansdowne Street where the show begins at 7:45 p.m.

Tonight’s featured restaurants include Ashmont Grill, Bully Boy Distillers, Eastern Standard, Harvest, JP Seafood, La Morra, 51 Lincoln, Scampo, Tavolo, Towne, The Fireplace, Union Bar & Grille and Upstairs on the Square.

This year’s political pundits will poke fun at Governor and Mrs. Patrick, Mayor Tom Menino, Aerosmith’s Tom Hamilton and many other local community leaders with skits and musical satire.
