The Golden Chariot covers vast swathes of Southern India showcasing picturesque locales, mighty jungles, coffee plantations, wildlife reserves, traditional towns, waterfalls and sacred festivals. Memories of a bygone era and a sense of calm and tranquility are experienced on board this luxury train.

The Golden Chariot started operating since March 10, 2008. Weekly trips are offered by the luxury train, inThe train is equipped with 44 cabins and exclusive facilities such as plasma TV, Wi-Fi, ultra modern gym, spa services, lounge cars, bar and excellent restaurants. The cabin coaches personify supreme grandeur and the architecture is inspired by Mysore, Hoysala and Belur-Halebidu schools of art. In order to take care of guests’ health, a doctor is present throughout the journey. Moreover, in accordance with the regal aura of the train, every coach is offered a personal attendant to fulfill the guests’ needs. The two journeys offered by the train are: Pride of the South and Splendor of the South.

These brilliant tours offer a perfect rendezvous with the amazing pearls of the South and traverses along traditional Tamil Nadu towns, white sandy beaches of Goa, backwaters of Kerala and cultural heritage of Karnataka.

The train has romantic dates with every destination and guests usually fall in love with these tours. The journey surpasses places like Bangalore, Mysore, Hampi and the temple town of Belur in Karnataka. The cosmopolitan city of Bangalore is famed for its parks, gardens, superb cultural heritage and historic monuments. Serene Beaches and wonderful locales of Goa invite visitors to a breathtaking tour of the state when the train reaches there.
