You’ve been putting in endless hours on the job, the commute seems to have gotten worse and the kids, well, they’ve been driving you nuts. Admit it, you and your hubby could use some escape time.

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by the welcoming valet attendants who will whisk your car off from the courtyard driveway after assisting you with your luggage. The property is not pet friendly however, so you’ll have to leave your four-legged friends at home with the kids. Everything about this 201-room hotel is centered around its prime real estate with its beautiful view of Boston’s Faneuil Hall located across the street.
After walking around the city in the afternoon, we loved retreating to the first floor library with a book in front of the fireplace with a complimentary mug of hot apple cider. As for the rooms here, the upgraded superior with Juliet balconies are clean and spacious. Our room had a small balcony (large enough for just one person to stand on) overlooking beautiful Faneuil Hall on a snowy winter night.
Now that the warmer weather is upon us, you may want to consider booking a junior suite that has floor-to-ceiling windows with larger balconies viewing out onto Boston Harbor. Standard amenities apply here with high-speed Internet access and flat screen TVs, along with some nice luxury touches like Frette bathrobes, custom pillows and full use of the 24-hour fitness center.
In the morning, we headed downstairs to the on-site restaurant, North 26 Restaurant and Bar, for some farm fresh scrambled eggs with a crispy side of applewood smoked bacon. The restaurant, which serves up classic New England fare, is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
