William Henry creates bejewelled functional jewellery for men

Bejewelled Functional Jewellery For Men

Say jewellery and men in the same line and you are bound to get some dirty looks from guys who think it is a challenge to their masculinity. Designer William Henry definitely doesn't think so - and he has set out to prove himself right. Henry has worked on the concept of bejewelled functional jewellery - for instance pocket knives.

The models have been developed in partnership with jewelry designer Scott Keating, add an original and seductive message to William Henry’s existing collections, and represent a new and exclusive offering in the often overlooked world of jewelry for men. All the patterns on William Henry’s new bejeweled models are created by hand, and hand set in pave with extensive microscopic work. The gemstones used include white, brown and black diamonds, blue and yellow sapphires, and rubies.

While the collection may launch with pocket knives, it is expected to move up the ladder in 2012 with writing instruments, money clips and even golf tools which are expected to cater to wider audiences who are not thrilled with just pocketknives.

As if the diamond encrusted collection is not enough, Keating even suggests that they will be working on limited edition collections in the future. These would be using fossilised mammoth teeth or meteorites that help in making the jewelery absolutely unique.

We wonder if guys fall for this stuff ; and if they do, then we would love to see an individual out camping with a pearl and diamond encrusted pocketknife.
