As the one year anniversary of Hurricane Michael hitting the Panama City Beach area approaches, WonderWorks is offering a special for local residents. The $10 special is the company’s way of helping those in the area who were impacted by the devastating hurricane to have a chance to reduce some stress, have some fun, and make some family memories. The 10/10 promotion day will begin on October 10, 2019 and run through the end of the month. Residents of Bay, Gulf, Calhoun and Jackson Counties will be able to pay only $10 admission into WonderWorks Panama City Beach.

“On the 10th day of the 10th month of 2018, Hurricane Michael blew our lives around and turned our world upside down,” says Michael Walsingham, general manager of WonderWorks Panama City Beach. “WonderWorks invites you to come and take your mind off your upside down world and experience ours.”

The 10/10 promotion opens the door to plenty of fun for all ages, including many exhibits, challenges, and learning zones. The indoor amusement park for the mind offers wonder zones covering natural disasters, physical challenges, light and sound, space discovery, imagination lab, and a far out gallery. Additionally, there is an indoor ropes course challenge, a virtual army experience, and more. The discounted tickets cover access to all of the fun in the 35,000 square feet of “edu-tainment,” except for laser tag and Fury.

WonderWorks offers fun for the whole family, with wonder zones, challenges, and exhibits geared toward all ages. Space lovers can climb into a replica of one of the launched capsules and see what it’s like to lay down inside of the one-man vehicle. Those who enjoy physical challenges can play some virtual sports and ride xtreme 360 bikes. From using the imagination to learning in a fun way, this is an experience that kids and adults alike will enjoy.

“Let our upside down experts in fun help you forget about the craziness of your life, at least for a few hours, by coming to visit WonderWorks on 10/10 for just $10,” added Walsingham.

Hurricane Michael made landfall at a category five on October 10, 2018. Hitting the Panama City Beach area, it is estimated to have caused $25 billion in damages.

The interactive indoor amusement park offers STEM-focused activities for all ages. There are over 100 hands-on activities that are focused on the areas of science, technology, engineering, and math. Some of the exhibits will include a bubble room, Professor Wonder’s adventure, interactive sandbox, illusion art gallery, and xtreme 360 bikes.
