Earlier this month Chinese A-lister Angela Yeung, better known as Angelababy, held a $31 million wedding in Shanghai at the city's exhibition center. Over 2,000 guests attended the nuptials between Yeung, considered the Kim Kardashian of China, and actor Huang Xiaoming. And to make it the most exceptional wedding ever, the couple splurged on a pre-wedding photo shoot in Paris, a holographic castle at the wedding, a 10-foot carousal cake, gift bags (with free cell phones) for every guest, custom stain glass windows and walls of flowers. By comparison the Kardashian-West wedding cost a measly $12 million, while royals William and Kate beat them at $34 million.
The 26-year-old star wore a Dior couture gown that took almost five months to create and was made with 165 feet of tulle and 115 feet of satin organza. It was adorned with 100 hand-cut rose bouquets made of Chantilly lace and featured a 10-foot train. Her wedding band, the Joséphine Aigrette Impériale ring, was designed by French jeweler Chaumet and showcased a five-carat, pear-shaped diamond. The ring alone was valued at over $1.5 million.
