Good Taste in a Can

Luxury Food: Premium gourmet food conveniently packaged in cans is what Taste is all about. Taste is an all-natural luxury line of foods packaged in cans. The manufacturer claims that this is the first line of high-quality foods with such packaging. The fledgling New York City-based firm canvasses the world in search of the finest and tastiest food, such as Thailand, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Chile, Virginia, and Maine. Seafood, vegetables, fruits, nuts and candy are canned by Taste.

The seafood collection features hand-filleted Chinook salmon, Maine lobster, Dungeness crab meat, and whole-shelled Maine mussels from the U.S. Seafood from Spain includes shelled sea cockles and shelled pink clam, while baby clams and Chilean razor clams are imported from Chile. Anchovy fillets with spicy sauce, anchovy fillets with capers in olive oil, and anchovy fillets in olive oil, and mackerel fillets in both water and olive oil come from Portugal.

Currently, all of the prime vegetables selections are imported from Italy. There are cherry tomatoes, plum tomatoes with basil, roasted peppers, grilled eggplant, grilled mixed vegetables, and zucchini. Canned fruits, which come from Thailand, are lychee (or litchi, which is U.S.-FDA spelling) and longan berries. Dried longan berries are often used in Chinese recipes. Pistachios, almonds, cashews, Spanish peanuts and regular peanuts make up the canned nuts section. The cashews are grown in India, and the other luxury nuts, even the Spanish nuts, are grown in the USA.

Although, Taste has but one candy-in-the-can option, it is a very tasty treat made in Italy called torrone. Torrone, also known as nougat, is a concoction made from honey, well-whipped egg whites, vanilla, and walnuts or almonds. Pastry chefs often used it to top off desserts. Making torrone correctly is a tedious task that is time-consuming and requires a special touch. The sweet delicacy is made throughout Italy.

Who says that great food cannot come out of can? Taste's all-natural luxury food line is available in premium grocery stores throughout the United States.

Indeed you are right James! As far as I am concerned the Portuguese products are superb, I can subscribe your words because I live in the middle of the region where cork, olive, and carob industry are the biggest world producers ( or use to be some years ago ); For the ones interested to visit these places and see how they produce olive oil or cork stoppers or sweet cakes out of carobs you only need to access me through JustLuxe. Thanks for showing Portugal and it´s products to the world! Best wishes to everyone!
