Cooking at Home in Tuscany Cooking Classes:To me, the best part of traveling is getting to taste the flavors of your adopted environment. But whenever I get home and try to recreate the dishes I've tasted, I'm disappointed. Either I misjudge the herbs or the technique, or I'm somehow never fully able to pinpoint where I went wrong. It seems like it would be much more convenient to be instructed about what I'm eating so that I can recreate for the family and friends that didn't have the experience with me.
Which is why I was excited to hear about Tuscany's historic Palazzo Torriani home, a place that allows you to experience a piece of history and learn the recipes of 19th century chef, Martino. His recipes continue to be popular in the region to this day.
The historic home offers luxury apartment-like accommodations for as long as you would like; allowing you to experience all of the local foodstuffs. You can find out where the food comes from by requesting a tour and then recreate the historic recipes yourself under the tutelage of instructors.
Buon Appetito!
