Fine Dining: Located at the top of Reunion Tower in Dallas, Texas, world renowned chef Wolfgang Puck has opened his latest fine dining restaurant: Five Sixty.
Appropriately named, (Five Sixty referring to the staggering 560 foot climb to the top of the historic tower) the sophisticated yet inviting restaurant was part of the $46 million renovation of the tower that ended late last year.
Five Sixty is Puck's first restaurant in the Dallas area, and from the reviews, he couldn't have hoped for a better reception.
The restaurant itself rotates, giving guests a 360-degree view of downtown Dallas through the wall-to-ceiling windows that edge the entire room. The sensuous, modern interior lends comfort to the visitor while still relaxing in upscale accommodations.
Once you're seated at your table, slowly making your way around the restaurant and taking in the spectacular view from 50 stories above the street, is when your experience really begins.
Wolfgang Puck has gained fame and earned praise for his many different restaurants, both of the casual and fine dining genres. His food can be eaten all over the United States, one of his most popular being CUT in Beverly Hills, which is often visited by the Hollywood elite.
At Five Sixty, the cuisine takes its cues from some of Puck's signature fine dining restaurants like Spago, Chinios, and the afore mentioned CUT. The dishes feature modern interpretations of Asian classics and can be enjoyed either in the main room or more casually at one of the restaurant's two bars.
Speaking of spirits, the restaurant offers an impressive wine list with over 400 labels to chose from, along with by-the-glass selections, and nearly a dozen brands of sake to sample.
Five Sixty is sure to become one of the hottest spots for dining in Dallas this year, and with only 200 seats, you had better make your reservations in advance.
