Did you know it can take as many as 97 barrels of wine to make one bottle of Dolce? Perhaps we have "distilled" the details a bit, but the truth is that making Dolce is a lesson in the fine art of blending.
After fermentation, it all comes down to the art of the blend. In the case of the afore-mentioned 97 barrels of 2004 Dolce that are currently in the Dolce cave, there could be more than 500 possible combinations created for the final blend.
Visitors who attend the 2005 Auction Napa Valley this June will have the opportunity to experience the blending of Dolce first-hand, by bidding on the Dolce lot offered in the e-Auction.
