Luxury Jewelry: Having older brothers is great- they can protect you from schoolyard bullies, fix your car, carry heavy things. But what if you had a brother who could fashion a gorgeous bangle bracelet out of coral or match the color of your prom dress with a stunning tear drop necklace made with precious stones? You might forego those rough and tumble older bros for one who could accessorize every outfit in your walk-in closet.
Jewelry designer, Russell Jones, started making jewelry when he was a teenager, learning fabrication and casting techniques from his high school art teacher (scary thinking about 15 year olds wielding blow torches isn't it?). Jones began to form his artistic vision towards blending smooth contours and delicate contours with precious stones and more interesting materials like coral.
Jones, who studied Illustration at the Rhode Island School of Design and minored in light metals for more then two years, continues to design special jewelry as gifts for his wife and friends inspired by the natural forms of blossoms, berries, and weathered beach pebbles (see knowing the right people pays).
Jones' second and third collection, Mementos and Bright Things collections, received tremendous attention from the press, getting coverage from InStyle magazine, Vogue, W, Bazaar, Elle, and French Vogue.
