 Designer Shoes: It can be hard to eat as a vegetarian, although many upscale restaurants are now offering vegetarian menus and options. But it is still difficult to find animal-friendly footwear, especially on the luxury market. Luckily, long-time vegetarian and style lover actress Natalie Portman has teamed up with Té Casan to create funky vegan footwear.
"As a vegan, it's been challenging finding designer  shoes made of alternative materials," Portman said. "It's the perfect opportunity to design high-end footwear free of animal products."
Portman lent more than her name to the project, closely collaborating with Té Casan, to create hand-crafted cruelty-free footwear from flats to heels.
The shoes are limited edition and are available through the Te Casan store in New York City and online.
Although the synthetic shoes are considerably more expensive than traditional synthetic shoes, the stunning designs make it worth it.
Not only are the shoes as cute as their luxurious leather counterparts, part of the proceeds are donated to a charity, so you can feel as good as you look.
