Celebrity Designers: Fans of Janet Jackson will rejoice to know that the Pleasure Principle is back as a line of luxury lingerie designed by the sexy singer herself.
Janet Jackson has teamed up with Australian designer Bruno Schiavi to create a lingerie collection to be sold in the United States as well as Australia, Japan and Europe. The Pleasure Principle line of lingerie is inspired by Janet's 1987 hit single from her world famous album, Control.
Like the album, Janet Jackson took creative control of the line and says she was hands-on during the entire process and sometimes working until the wee small hours of morning.
"The collection has been carefully created with some of the finest laces from around the world. You will see a lot of satin and lace combined and rich colors such as burgundy and beige, silver and peach as well as your classic black and white. It makes you feel incredible and offers variety as diverse as the women who will wear it," Janet reveals.
The luxury lingerie's first collection from Pleasure Principle offers 14 designs across a combination of bra styles from balconettes, demi cups to full coverage. Sizes will range from a 30A to 44DDD and are all priced under $40, making it possible for everyone to feel sexy.
The multi-talented performer teamed up with Bruno Schiavi, who has been a lingerie designer since 2002, and in that time has launched successful lingerie lines in 6 countries in 6 years. You may recognize the name, as Schiavi is also the designer behind Dr. Robert Rey's (of the hit television show Dr. 90210) successful shapewear collection, which has been a big hit for women as well as celebrities.
Schiavi explains "Janet and I wanted to create a collection that empowers women and that makes women feel sexy, flirtatious and provocative. We wanted to make sure we captured the essence of all Janet's favorite colors, laces and making sure that we stay true to who she is and what she loves."
In addition to using luxury laces and fine materials, Jackson made sure that the collection was as comfortable as it is pleasurable to look at. At a press event to announce the collaboration she said "I've always hated when lingerie is uncomfortable, so the fit and comfort was key."
Styles are sexy and women of every size and shape will appreciate that the line is available in a wide range of sizes, from 30A to 44DDD.
The satin and lace are sure to make you feel sexy as are the colors and cute attention to details, like the tiniest of ribbons.
Look for the opportunity to wear the sex icon's smalls this November.
