Tilapia is one of the fastest growing aquaculture crops in the world and the United States. By purchasing the skins, the company is able to utilize a renewable and sustainable natural resource. To transform the skin into luxurious leather, pelts are tanned, heavy metal-free, using sophisticated patented processes, producing premium fashion leather.
Col de Mar features a variety of leather good items and is continually expanding the items offered. So far, Col de Mar includes wallets, coin purses, card cases, cosmetic cases, and eyewear cases, with a men's collection and specialties still to come. The New Jersey-based company was founded by Louis and Lisa Strauss who have over twenty combined years of experience in sales, marketing, design and business management. They founded Col de Mar as part of their effort to introduce quality, luxury products to the Green marketplace.
