 Fashion & Style: Isaia, one of the world's few remaining Neapolitan sartorial brands, and high-end mens boutique Jeffrey New York have partnered on an exclusive new limited edition lifestyle collection. Designed by fashion icon Jeffrey Kalinsky and produced by the masters of handcrafted, sartorial menswear, the collection combines Jeffreys modern sense of style and innovation with the hand-tailoring workmanship and luxurious fabrics Isaia is famous for. Introducing sartorial tailoring to a more fashion-conscious customer, the first limited collection for Spring/Summer 2009 incorporates both suiting and furnishings.
The centerpiece of the collection is the J-body, Jeffreys exclusive suiting design. Available in Isaias exclusive grey and navy Aquaspider water-and-wrinkle resistant wool, and a tan glen plaid (90% cashmere, 10% wool), these garments employ all of the traditional Neapolitan craftsmanship such as hand-sewn buttonholes, pockets, floating chest piece and linings. Rounding out the collection are solid blue and white Sea Island cotton shirts designed with a more suppressed fit and straight collar, as well as silk ties in a custom width. Isaia, which recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, marries romanticism and perfection, which come to think of it applies equally well to Jeffrey.
