 Jay-Z to Release Limited Edition Line Of Swiss Watches Luxury Watches: To commemorate his 10th anniversary in the music industry, hip hop master and Def Jam executive, Jay-Z, has signed an agreement with watchmaker Audemars Piguet to release his own line of watches, which will sell for $23,500-$69,500.
For what could buy four years of college or a sizeable downpayment on a house, you could purchase your very own limited edition Jay-Z watch in stainless steel, rose gold or platinum. You may be thinking, what a deal! Where do I get one or you may be thinking, what is so special about these watches that warrant such a pricetag? For anyone in the know, a Piguet is quite the status symbol, even more so than a Rolex (your Rolex could be a downpayment on a Piguet). While the watchmaker anticipates these watches to be a hot ticket item, only 100 will be made; 50in in stainless steel; 30 in rose gold; and 20 in platinum. The rapper, whose real name is Shawn Carter, will denote a portion of the proceeds to benefit the S. Carter Scholarship Fund.
