The queen of whimsical chic, Kate Spade New York, just got a little bit edgier thanks to a new collaboration with celebrity stylists Emily Current and Meritt Elliott (of Current/Elliott denim fame).

The WESTWARD collection features hip, functional handbags, totes, clutches and small leather goods with a distinctly downtown vibe. A beautiful blend of vintage silhouettes with classic contemporary shapes, the set (boasting top quality leather, antiqued hardware, sumptuous suede and even spangly metallic sequins) offers sensible style for today’s girl on the go.

To kick off the collaboration, the brand hosted an intimate rooftop dinner in West Hollywood with L.A.’s chic elite including stars Emma Roberts, Chord Overstreet, Michelle Tractenberg, Jaime King, Gia Coppola and more.

The WESTWARD collection has a classic-meets-whimsical spirit that is as adventurous and charming as the girl who carries it. The WESTWARD collection, priced between $245 and $1,295, is currently available in Kate Spade New York shops, select Bloomingdale’s locations and online at

In celebration of this collection, KSNY has made a generous donation to the Phase One Foundation, an organization that holds special importance to both Emily and Meritt and supports cancer research and awareness.
