For me, autumn begins when I first don on my Burberry coat. This season I finally invested in a black trench, which I always considered the quintessential fall uniform. I had gone back and forth between the one I’m wearing and a shorter length, which I thought was more flattering for my figure and age. Then I saw Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s (again) and realized the true, timeless appeal of the classic cut. Pair that with sheer tights (my favorite), a fringe cashmere scarf, black pumps, and you’re ready to go.
