Fashion & Style: We all know the saying and since most of the country is recovering from a few weeks of rain showers, why not bring on the flowers? Designers once again visited the tried and true floral trend for Spring but with a much more sophisticated twist this time.
Instead of the pastels we have all seen season after season, Dolce Gabbana is offering florals in bold colors unexpected for Spring; deep reds and blacks with a shot of their signature leopard. Always feminine in her designs, Alberta Ferretti embroidered her flowers with a bit of sparkle onto sheer silks for a truly ladylike edge. One of fashion's newest darlings, Thakoon, draped his florals brilliantly around shots of bold color. Dries Von Noten's bouquets are more graphic than we've seen in the past and so much more modern. Maggie Gyllenhaal rocked their floral frock at the Oscars in one of Spring's hottest colors — blue.
