Make room in your cosmetics bag ladies, because now you can wear that coveted Christian Louboutin red on your lips. Next month, the shoe designer will be releasing the classic color as part of a brand new, 38-piece lipstick collection. The line will come in three different textures— Silky Satin, 20 colors with medium to full coverage; Sheer Voile, nine gossamer shades; and Velvet Matte, nine opaque hues with a soft finish. Inspired by Queen Nefertiti and the Art Deco movement of the ‘20s, the new collection comes entirely in gold with the exception of three iconic Rouge Louboutin shades (one in each texture) that will be housed in special-edition black lacquer tubes. Each lipstick vial is topped with baubles and a tiny ring, so a chain can be threaded through and the bullet transformed into a golden necklace.
After entering the beauty market last year with a line of nail lacquers, which were an instant success with Louboutin fans, we can only assume this line will be just as, if not more, successful. We all love a great polish, but the idea of being able to wear Rouge Louboutin head-to-toe makes us want to hand over our credit cards immediately. The Christian Louboutin Lipstick Collection will be available September 2015 and will be priced at $90 each.
